AUTHORS GARY FRANK AND E.F. WATKINS SPEAK TO GSHW
Authors Gary Frank and E.F. Watkins speak at the next meeting of the Garden State Horror Writers on Saturday, January 12, at the Monmouth County Library, Manalapan. They will draw upon their experiences as writers and readers to discuss the function of villains in fiction, advising writers on how to create memorable antagonists in their own fiction.
Gary Frank, current president of the Garden State Horror Writers, is the author of the novel FOREVER WILL YOU SUFFER, published in 2006 by Medallion Press, Inc. He also has published several short stories, including “Stay Here,“ included in the 2005 GSHW anthology, DARK NOTES FROM NEW JERSEY.
Frank lives in West Paterson. His new novel INSTITUTIONAL MEMORY will be released in Fall 2008 by Medallion Press.
E. F. Watkins, a founding member of GSHW, also belongs to Sisters in Crime (women mystery writers), and Broad Universe (women speculative fiction writers). Her novel DANCE WITH THE DRAGON won the 2004 EPPIE in Horror from the national group Electronically Published Internet Connection. Her thriller BLACK FLOWERS was a finalist in Action/Thriller for both the 2006 EPPIEs and the 2007 Indie Excellence Book Awards. She also has published the paranormal thriller PARAGON and the mystery RIDE A DANCING HORSE, all through Amber Quill Press LLC. She lives in Wanaque.
The Garden State Horror Writers is a group dedicated to helping writers of all types of fiction perfect their skills. It meets on the second Saturday at the Monmouth County Library on
