Yeah, guilt sucks. Unlike love its not fleeting, guilt sits heavy on one's shoulders for a an awfully long time. Love, the more it becomes comfortable and familiar, can be a subtle emotion. Guilt is it's opposite; always whispering in your ear, following you around and reminding you of its presence. The thing to remember is, is that guilt is natures way of reminding us not to repeat our mistakes. No matter what you think of what happened to you in the recent past, you'll turn out to be a better person for it in the future. Yes, most of us have been through what you're going through. And it hurt us just as much as its hurting you. You just have to keep shoveling in that emotional pit you're in until you eventually dig yourself out. It'll happen.
