Jacket synopsis is here ![]() Arnold Enright has been a prisoner for the past six years, confined to a cell not of his own making. Sentenced to viewing his world's reflection in a mirror and with little hope of escape, he is a man whose whole existence can be measured in feet and inches, his only companion the relentless wheeze of an iron lung. In this hopeless life of scientific dead-ends, Arnold Enright is left to ponder, to regret, to constantly remember what was, and what might have been. Forever praying for an escape route and a way to end it all, Mr Enright is about to discover his prayers have been answered, but in a way he could never have imagined. WITHIN HIS REACH a novella by Steve Gerlach |

Not that I'm interested in parting with my money, but when will we be asked to purchase the next book? I'm getting nervous that maybe I've missed one and I don't want to lose my number or position in the book club. Thanks Steve. P.S. There is a review of Pic's new mmpb Shadow Season in this months Horrorworld review section (the linc is at the top of the board index page here). It should build some great buzz that carries over to your next Pic release. Tt |

NOW UP FOR PRE-ORDER FOR A MARCH 1ST 2010 RELEASE ![]() "Within His Reach is a gripping story, reminiscent of a top-drawer Twilight Zone episode. Steve Gerlach grabs you right at the start and holds you breathless until the very last line. I can imagine the spirits of Rod Serling and Charles Beaumont nodding their approval over this powerful novella--it's a terrific piece of work." --Christopher Conlon, Bram Stoker Award finalist for Midnight on Mourn Street, Starkweather Dreams ~~~ "I've read and enjoyed everything Steve Gerlach has published but I never imagined he had the talent, the soul, and the insight to write a story like Within His Reach. This is a wonderful tribute to Rod Serling --deeply moving, heartbreaking, even. It's an emotional roller-coaster I'll be thinking about for a long time. I can't recommend it highly enough." - John R. WOW! ![]() Let me say that again: Wow! That is one of Alan M. Clark's best covers ever! Beautiful. Simply beautiful. I'll try not to judge the book by that cover, but it will be hard not to put that on the top of my TBR pile for the eye candy alone. Wow. |

PRODUCT RECALL Dear Tasmaniac supporters, I’m sorry to inform you that the softcover of Steve Gerlach’s WITHIN HIS REACH has been recalled to the printers, as they have failed to insert the signature sheet. Apologies to all that have paid so quickly, I was informed by UPS that our US distributor would be receiving this title on the 2nd of March so I thought I’d get the money requests out of the way sooner rather than later so the books could be sent straight out. Our US distributor informed me this morning that the signature sheets were missing and have since confirmed with the printer that they overlooked this requirement. Therefore this title has been recalled to the printer who will rectify the problem straight away. Again, sincere apologies for this delay, Steve Clark. |
