Wow, Blood Red is as killer as everyone said it was.

I should have known, coming from the dude who wrote Under The Overtree.

After Blood Red, the Serenity Falls trilogy will be my next journey into the demented world of James Moore.

Just finished Blood Red myself, and I agree, fantastic book.
Just ordered Harvest Moon, can't wait for it to arrive.

Horrordude and I seem to always have the same TBR pile. I'm halfway through Blood Red myself - it's a heckuva read so far!

Though I enjoyed Harvest Moon, Blood Red is a much better read in my opinion.

I enjoyed both Fireworks and Harvest Moon. There is a mention in passing about the town from Harvest Moon in one of the Serenity Falls books, as well as someone from Blood Red.

Serenity Falls kicks so much ass it's hard to sit down.

Serenity Falls will blow your mind. A really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, good set of books. My favorite Moore.

If they ever build a Mt. Rushmore for horror authors, I think James A. Moore's head should be up there along side Tom Piccirilli's, Gary Braunbeck's, Greg Gifune's, and Steve Vernon's.

Of course someone would screw it up and put Steven King, Peter Straub, Dean Koontz, and Ray Bradbury up there. The nerve eh?

It could be worse though. They could put one up with John Saul, Scott Nicholson, Maynard/Sims, and Al Sorrentino.

I picked up Firewoks a coupla weeks ago. it's in my ever growing TBR stack too. I'll have to look for his other books out there.

I also picked up some Al Sarrantonio (is that who you meant?), The Halloween series, it'll be on the TBR for Halloween, obviously.

and I agree, about Gates in the elite.

I'm not sure if you understood that Undead was being sarcastic. He is not a fan of Gate's "Vaders'", but I was. I really enjoyed it but I did think he could have cut a lot from the book, mostly the excessive car chases, but even those didn't bother me as much as it did Undead.

I read and enjoyed Grimm Reapings and read Fear, but for the life of me I can't remember anything about it.

I wanna snag a copy of this to read next month. I always figured the Leisure was just a reprint, but I think the 2001 copy has a longer page count.

It does according to Amazon.

It could just be a different font size changing the page count.
