Picked up John Shirley's A Song Called Youth trilogy. Gotta get through Christopher Hitchens God Is Not Great and Elie Wiesel Night.

Mostly stuff from school.

Trying to sneak in a little bit of reading each night, though. Working on Black (very slowly) by Ted Dekker, Christine by Stephen King, and re-reading Blood Red by James A. Moore. I'm wanting to read it again in order to familiarize myself with the story so I can enjoy Blood Harvest that much more.

Books read and recommended for April, 2012.

Hardcover

1. Burial Ground by Michael McBride from ThunderStorm Books. Great story and characters. Brilliant bonus story in the BV edition.
2. Clickers vs Zombies by J. F. Gonzalez and Brian Keene from Morningstar Press. A really fun read.
3. The Signal Block and Other Tales by Frank Duffy from Sideshow Press. Collection of mostly forgettable short stories.
4. Vampirella Archives Volume Four from Dynamite Entertainment. I like these monster stories and some good art too.
5. The Stoker Winners: Horror Hall of Fame edited by Joe R. Lansdale from Cemetery Dance. Great collection of great stories.
6. The Cold Spot by JG Faherty from Delirium Books. Very engaging ghost story. Loved it.
7. Down Here in the Dark by Lee Thompson from Delirium Books. Good writer but this one was a bit hard to follow so unsatisfying ending.
8. The Haunted by Bentley Little from Signet. Another great one from Bentley.
9. Driving Through the Desert by Donna Lynch from ThunderStorm Books. Liked it. Cool ending that takes you by surprise.
10. The Crane House by Brian Keene, Kealan Patrick Burke, Al Sarrantonio, Rick Hautala, Bev Vincent, Brian Freeman, James A. Moore, James Newman, Ronald Kelly, Norman Prentiss and Ray Garton. They pulled off a good round-robin haunter house story.
11. Act of Love by Joe R. Lansdale from Subterranean Press. Bonus story.
12. Taste of Tenderloin by Gene O'Neill from Dark Regions Press. Bonus story. Great stuff from a consistently very good to great author.
13. Black Bubbles by Kelli Owen from Thunderstorm Books. Some really good ones here.

Paperback

14. The Blue Heron by Gene O'Neill from Dark Regions Press. Gene is brilliant.
Graveworm by Tim Curran from Severed Press. Oh man this guy is good. A page turner.

Digital

15. Going Under by Brian Keene. Prequel to the Ghoul movie. Quick and creepy.

Finally finished Song of Susannah. Not sure how I feel about that one. I plan on starting the final Dark Tower book today or tomorrow. I'm just ready to be done with this series.
