I've read four or five stories recently about people who really get what it's all about. I'll post them as I find them, but I'll start with this one since it happened here. The video really explains what I'm trying to say a lot better.

For those of us who can't get video's, what's this all about?

The second one is pictures and a story.

The first one is the video of an elementary school kid with spastic cerebral palsy running a 400m race and his gym coach and all his fellow students walking along with him, cheering him on to finish.

I saw the word movies in the link and thought it was a video. I absolutely loved that story!!! What an adventure for that kid and his family!

Since Thad's slacking on this thread, I'll go ahead and post this one. Very cool scene for both Father's Day and our troops.

There's also a Chicago Cubs fansite/blog that I read regularly called Bleacher Nation. The gentleman who runs it, Brett Taylor, promised to blog continuously back before the trade deadline at the end of July if the readers of the site would donate to Make A Wish in Chicago. Last year, Brett went 24 hours. He said he'd do 30 hours this year if $6000 was raised, and another hour for each $1000 after that, up to 36 hours, for a total of $12000. That figure was reached because $6000 was how much a Chicago Cubs based wish for a kid cost. The site went over the $12000 figure, giving two kids a chance to have a wish come true.
