Anthocon This Weekend

I will be at Anthocon this weekend, a horror con taking place on the New Hampshire/Maine border. It's been nick-named Necon North as many of the Necon attendee's also come to this convention. This will be my third appearance here and the third time I will be in a book released at the convention.
My story, The Soldiers Wife will be in the Anthology Year 2 release, and I will be reading my story on Saturday afternoon to a crowd of thousands (o.k., maybe I exaggerated, hopefully somebody shows up). I had rotator cuff surgery about three weeks ago.

I don't think so. Last year I had it done at Christmas time and played golf in June and it hurt like a motherf..... I am going to abstain from all sports this summer.

I was very laid back at Anthocon, and the only thing I did that was exciting was dance with Holly, but she is such a sweet woman it was worth it. My mentor and great friend Nanci cautioned me about overdoing it and I took her advice. Nanci was there with me before the operation and after, and got me to act after I died on Halloween night. I truly believe that I would be lost without her sometimes.

So you followed up with your physician after your "death"? What did s/he say?

He took blood samples and they are putting me on a heart monitor on November 22. I will let you know how the results come out.

Heart monitor? Dude, are you alright? Otherwise, after the surgery, did they enroll you in a physical therapy program?

Thanks for the concern Joe, but I am fine. They just want to check me out to make sure there was nothing really wrong with me and that my near-death was a result of bad meds. And yes, I started physical therapy yesterday and I am the sorest I've been since the surgery. : )
