| Post subject: | My Memorial Day Weekend... |
...was very fun and productive! 1) My son got married on Saturday! It was two days (Friday and Saturday) of fun and mayhem! 2) I got my gutters up in the back of the house. 3) I mowed the front and back nine. 4) I finished planting the veggie garden, and I finished with the plants around the house. 5) Shameless plug here: I read all of the latest issue of Beware The Dark (Vol. 2), and man, I have to tell you, the sickest story I ever read was called The Pig by, Ed Lee, and in this issue was the second sickest story I ever read, it was called The Baby and it was written by, you guessed it, Ed Lee. I still want to vomit just thinking about it. I hope you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend also! |

I went to a cookout party at the Warners where Thomas and I built roads out of wooden blocks that everyone had to step over for a bit, and I had excellent burgers and brats, some of Phil's legendary ribs, and a little wedge of Nanci's chocolate-covered cheesecake, and I raised my beer to my father, who served on a sub-chaser during WWII, and my grandfather, who served on a destroyer and a collier during WWI. I know that some reservist, or active duty, or retired serviceperson placed flags on both of their graves this weekend. Thank you for your service, Dad and Papa. |
