Brandon,
I just clicked the link to Blood Red Tales and read your introduction blog and profile and I have to say I'm very intrigued by the idea of bypassing the standard horror market and posting the stories yourself. I'm about to go to bed so I didn't get to read any of your stories yet but I definitely will soon. Also I noticed that you listed Ramsey Campbell as an influence. I love almost all of his short stories as well as all of his supernatural horror novels. He is my favorite writer, so you obviously have good tast!

Thanks Matt. I've had many discourage against it. The site has been up for about seven weeks, and since I've sold three stories all because of the site. So maybe some people are eating thier words. Plus, I've been able to talk and chat with more writers and editors it seems like because of it. Thanks for showing some interest. Hope to see you there.

I just read your story, Steps. Very cool. I like the surreal ending and the sort of haunted house aspects too.

Thanks Matt. Funny, I think you are the first person, at least that I know that's read that story, so I was always curious as to what people thought. I'm really glad you liked it. Means a lot you took the time to do that. Thank you, good sir!

I love haunted house tales. I also really liked that the sounds he kept hearing sounded like bells and clattering cymbals, etc. It was kind of weird, and something that made you wonder why he heard such things. I know that it was not nessassarily haunted (could have been a result of his mental/sound problems) but cool either way. Thanks for putting it out there to be read.

No problem. I know you have a taste for the supernatural, so I thought you might enjoy that one better than the Roommate. In case you decide to read others, Disfigured Companion is another non supernatural, so you may want to veer in another direction. But that's up to you.
