Publisher: Bloodletting Books Description Adelle Smith has lived her entire life for the betterment of her people. She was A Civil Activist in the Sixties and Seventies and spent most of her adult life attending marches, giving speeches and lending a hand to anyone in need. But on the very evening that she is to be acknowledged with an NAACP Lifetime Achievement Award for her humanitarian efforts, she has a stroke that leaves her partially paralyzed and unable to speak. She ends up in the care of a ruthless bi-racial hospice nurse that sees Adelle not as a hero but as the cause of many of her hardships growing up as a child with a black father and a white mother. This nurse decides to give Adelle a special brand of "Physical Therapy" one with a daily regiment of pain, suffering and torture. Adelle now finds that after a lifetime of helping others it is she that needs help and quickly, before her nurse prepares another round of brutal treatment. Hero is a story in the same vein as Misery and The Girl Next Door. Hell Yeah, this is what it's all about. I've ordered my copies, I'm looking for a pre-publication sell out. Can't wait for this book Wrath, not much in life too look forward too but a Wrath and Gonzalez collaboration is one of those things. You two guys rock

Christ! I just dropped a jack-load of cash recently on some original Lee books. Alls I can do is hope that around a month from now there will still be some available. (Cause this novella sounds fanfuckintastic!) |
