This is definitely the best cover they've given one of my books thus far -- I really like that they changed the base color from red to blue; it's eye-catching and eerie without being in-your-face. And that the hanging bodies are out of focus makes it even better. Now I just hope folks like the book! (An additional note here: you don't need to have read the 3 previous Leisure novels before reading this, but if you have read the 3 previous books, then you're going to find a bit more to the story to enjoy. Mr. Hands, Rael (from In Silent Graves) and the Keepers all show up in one form or another, as they will in the fifth book, Far Dark Fields, where all of the threads that I've begun pulling together in Coffin County are finally pulled together and you get to see how all of this has been connected from the start. You'll also have a leg up if, in addition to the 3 previous novels, you've read both the Cedar Hill collections from Earthling -- but again, it's not necessary to have read everything, but that will be a plus if you have.) Anyway, thank you so much for your comments on the cover. I hope you like the novel when it's released on May 27. --Gary |

I've noticed that they've started using funny colors for their covers this year. It's really cool. They gave J.F. Gonzalez's 'Shapeshifter' an orange cover and the sides were orange too. Really eye catching. It jumped out at me through all of the black book sides on the racks. I hope they keep that up. Anyway, got my pre-order in for Coffin County from amazon. Unfortuately, our Books-a-Million shut down in December and they were the only store in town that sold your books. Borders and Barns and Noble kinda suck, but they're better than nothing. P.S. I've still got my 'Mr. Hands you signed for me at MoCon last year. Awesome. |

I'm all excited for Coffin County to be released..I read a long time ago that it was supposed to come out in August But, it was wrong and it's sooner than I had expected. There is also another book that I've been waiting for coming out in the same month.. ![]() |
