First off, congrats on the stoker wins. I was watching the awards online and cheering you on. I also wanted to mention what you said about your gift to the world being your stories, and wanted to thank you for them, because I can honestly say that they've changed me and right now I'd be lost without them. I swear I've read very little that can match the emotional depths and characters of your work. Off the top of my head the only thing that comes to mind is Maugham's "Of Human Bondage", but I digress. I do find your writing depressing but in a good way, a wake up call kind of way, and since I've been reading it I am resting somewhere around 75 percent pessimism as opposed to 99. So yes, thank you, and do keep weaving your tales. |

Thanks, that would be great. I'll be hunting down all your collections eventually, but it would be interesting to read all those back to back. Good to hear about Bill having his own story too. My curiosity will be tempered at last. |
