Reading this amazing book for the second time, and it has an equal, if not a more emotional impact. If you have not read this book, I highly recommend it. We all know the quality of Gary's writing, and in this book he allows the reader inside of his head, and is so informative - and very sad (not surprising) - and he doesn't shy away from naming names in the field that I find fascinating. His Cedar Hill story collections are my most treasured possessions, but this book is right behind them. Bob |

Pete, I've never heard of this book! Is it an old one? A Chapbook? May I ask what it's about? I'm going to try to look it up. Thanks for the suggestion! ttzuma |

I just looked it up. Wow! I can't believe I never heard of this book. It's going into my October purchases (September has tapped me out). This looks so good. Thanks again for the suggestion! Ttzuma |

Ttzuma, my pleasure! I am so happy you will be able to read it! I wish I could explain more in detail what 'type' of book it is. I would say it is an autobiography, but it is so much more than that. It I had to compare, I would say it is along the lines of King's 'On Writing'. But Gary throws everything into the grinder. I just finished it, and it ends with an emotional whallop. Enjoy it. Bob |

I did pick this up and read it Pete. I put my comments on it in The Cellar here in Horrorworld. I will say that it is an amazing book and I'm not sure I've ever read biographical material that is as heart wrenching as what's in this book. Every single fan of Gary's should own this book. Tt |
