Sure looks that way! BIGHEAD (August 15th, 2012) ![]() GAST (aka HAUS DER BÖSEN LUST, i.e. HOUSE OF EVIL LUST) (May 17th, 2012) ![]() No idea if this will be the GAST version of this story or the BLACK TRAIN edit. CREEKERS (October 17th, 2012) ![]() FLESH GOTHIC (December 11th, 2012) ![]() Oh, and as an added bonus, here's the cover for the German edition of INNSWICH HORROR, which, unlike those four above, I already knew was coming out: ![]() Listed release date is currently only "2012". |

OMG! I LOVE that Creekers cover!!! It's creeping me out!! Flesh Gothic artwork is exactly the same as Husk, by Matt Hults. Hmm... |

Not too sure about that cover for BIGHEAD, but the Creekers one does look class. And as Squeaky mentioned, that FLESH GOTHIC is the same as HUSK, bu Hults which is also the same as ANYTHING CAN BE DANGEROUS buy Hults, still a class cover though. I think international books are allowed to have the same cover as books printed in other countries or something like that, I saw a Graham Masterton Polish version of one of his books which was the same cover as Heartshaped Box by Joe Hill US version. I think it may only be geeks like us that will ever notice these things. |

Yes, I'm happy with those covers, and happier still to know that these books will be out in the German language. I was particularly pleased that Festa wants to do Bighead, hardly a mass-market novel. I'm wondering, though, how some of the Bighead's dialect will translate! Peckersnot? Hmm. Later! Edward Lee |

Misspider: any idea how the word Creekers would translate in German? JPOKELA: that my kind of gal too! I still don't get the HUSK thing. Does anybody know what that book is about? As for Festa Publishing, all I can say is that they're a wonderful company. I really lucked out getting them. Later! Edward Lee |

Hey Ed - My name's Roy. I run Books of the Dead Press. I hunted the internet for days, found Danielle's amazing artwork, and was the first one to sign her art for book covers. I then pushed her artwork all over the place and encouraged other authors to use her stuff. I paid for that Matt Hults image, and she put it in writing that she wasn't going to allow it to be used for a different book cover. And now it's showing up on your book - but it's not a stock image. I have nothing but respect for you, Ed. I love your work. But do you really want to be the second guy in on this image? Between the paperback and the ebooks, there are already over 35,000 copies out there. I guess that I'm asking you to ask your publisher to go with something different. Something that hasn't been used 35,000 times and I have under contract for the next 3 years. Right now I feel sick... Please use something different. I don't want to fight your publisher, or Danielle. Thank you. Also - my email is besthorror at gmail dot com. This would be a better private conversation... ![]() |

Thank you, Ed. I've heard nothing but good things about you, and it seems that what I heard was correct. Take care, and thanks again - Roy |

Frank Festa replied quite promptly and assured me that the cover has long been changed to something different, and that the artist is well aware of it. Edward Lee |

Wetbones: that's wonderful to know about the Bighead translation. I could never imagine how a translator would perceive redneck dialect. And now I can saw peckersnot in German! I'll actually be in Munich airport on Aug 22 on my way to Wroclaw Poland for a con--I'll write Pimmelrotz on the bathroom wall. Wait, here's a question: could you tell me how to write "Edward Lee was here" in German? Thanks! Edward Lee |

There've been a few new Edward Lee releases in Germany by Festa. THE PIG aka DAS SCHWEIN (available since February 4th 2013) ![]() Apparently this book caused some controversy when amazon refused to sell it. It's available directly through Festa's website now, for those who are aged 18 or older. I sure hope this isn't the beginning of a censorship crackdown on Ed's work and similarly extreme books by writers like Wrath James White and Jack Ketchum that are also published by Festa. THE HAUNTER AT THE THRESHOLD aka DER BESUDLER AUF DER SCHWELLE (no publication date listed, already available) ![]() This is a deluxe hardcover edition exclusively available through Festa's website. TERATOLOGIST aka DER TERATOLOGE (coming May 23rd) ![]() MESSENGER aka DER HÖLLENBOTE (coming December 2013) ![]() |

Wetbones: thanks very much for posting those (one of these days I'll learn how to do it!). In fact I just a few days ago got my copies of The Pig. I can iimagine someday doing to Germany and immediately being arrested by some storm trooper looking guys with blank faces. Maybe I'm on a public enemy #1 list! A confidante mentioned to me that there re no specific laws in Germany against sex with animals but, by golly, you can't writ a book about it! Thnks and take care! Edward Lee |

A couple new Edward Lee books hit Deutschland recently: FAMILY TRADITION: ![]() INCUBI: ![]() GOLEMESQUE/THE GOLEM ![]() GOING MONSTERING ![]() I think this makes Germany the country with the most Edward Lee publications outside of the English-speaking world. |

Brett: yes, I'd likely sell my soul for the girl on the Going Monstering cover! Wetbones: thanks for posting the latest German releases. I've just returned from a convention in Leipzig and got to hang out with Frank and Inge Festa. Outstanding people; (and the office is tremendous! It's full of horror!) Frank took me to a bookstore and there my books were right alongside of Stephen King and Dean Koontz! More and more, I'm really liking Europe! Thanks and take care, Best Edward Lee |
