For fans of the slasher movie Curtains, Synapse Films posted a picture on their Facebook today of a film reel bearing the title CURTAINS with the comment "And so it begins." It looks like this movie will definitely see a release through Synapse, possibly even on BluRay. I've been hoping for this for awhile (at least a proper DVD release instead of someone simply burning a VHS print to DVD). It's an imperfect movie, no doubt, but I do enjoy it a lot and am excited as hell about an official release at long last.

Clarification -- they have the lone source print and they need to see if it is in good enough shape for release. Keep your fingers crossed...

Per Synapse: The element needs a bit of massaging, but I think it's good enough to warrant a transfer and restoration at this point. It's certainly not perfect, and the low budget shows in the film stock and printing, but what I'm seeing tonight (right now, actually) is good. We're proceeding with a 2K transfer.
