| Post subject: | The Bighead upsets Hollywood folks... |
(here is what I posted on Facebook earlier today) So, as you might have heard, we screened at the Hollyshorts Film Festival earlier this week. What you might not have heard was the insane reaction from the audience....people were screaming at the movie and a few walked out. Even now, some people are STILL asking for their money back. We also received a nice round of applause when the movie was over so it seems like a win-win to us! Those of you that made it, please share your thoughts below and stay tuned for more details as the buzz from that screening is spreading : ) And I'm thrilled to add that Dread Central is going to be doing a story on the response the flick got, too. I think (hope) we'll get a second screening out of it as I had to miss this one and poor producer Don had to face the angry mob by himself at the Q&A...and wasn't ready for the attack on the movie AND him. I so wish I was there for all that!! Anyway, glad to know the flick can still piss folks off....I was beginning to think we were too easy on people! Hell, they think the MOVIE is disturbing?! Tell them they should be glad we didn't make them read every detail in the BOOK! Great job folks! |

Thanks for the posting the link, Wetbones (and, of course, the well wishes, too). AFM went well....we didn't get a blank check (and didn't really expect one), but we met a lot of financers and a good hunk of them seemed to dig the idea of a Bighead feature. We will hopefully start hearing back from them over the next few days or so as AFM wraps up tomorrow and then they get out of LA and back to business. Fingers crossed we'll get some good news...and I promise y'all will be among the first to know!! Thanks for the support, all...we really appreciate it! |
