Friends, I'm shocked and distressed to announce this grim news. A few days ago I received word that my old friend from Maryland, Micah Hays, died about a month ago, with family members in Kentucky. Micah not only was a fabulous illustrator, but also the real-life template for the police officer character by the same in my Splatterspunk stories that I cowrote with John Pelan many years ago. What a great guy Micah was. I'll miss him very much, and may he rest in peace. Sincerely Edward Lee |

I'm sorry to hear that, Ed - his character has given many of us countless hours of entertainment and disgust. May he rest in peace. Through you, I'm sure he can live on in more adventures... I'll certainly support that effort. |
