As I sit here looking out my window, my thoughts are of you You are always on my mind, since the grim reaper called you away Outside my window, a winter scene, right before my eyes, directly in the path of my view I can't help but think of you each and every day. Outside my window, stand one solitary tree The winter, the limbs are now bare So desolate and lonely, in the snow, the tree seems to be The bare limbs reaching out as if to say please you still care. I imagine the desolate tree in the snow to be you Trying to reach out to me from another realm Telling me you too are sad and blue Grasp life, take control at the helm. So, sad and lonely, the ice being the tears, that the tree once shed Oh, the anguish, the desolation, can't you see Reaching out saying, I need love, companionship, I need to be fed I also remember, another spring will come, bringing life the way it should be. The tree, telling me, remember life goes on, the sun will shines once again Do not despair, I am in a far better place We shall be united once again Spring will come, life will continue, so do not despair, the tree now doesn't look so bad now in it's background of the snowy lace. |
