Perry Rhodan is a long-running German SF series, appearing in a weekly magazine in novella-size installments. it's been going strong since 1961, and will pass 2400 installments this year.

In the 70s, Ace published over 100 English translations of the books. The majority were edited by Forry Ackerman of Famous Monsters of Filmland fame.

I have a few of them stored away somewhere, but I never read them. Has anybody tried the series?

I understand they're supposed to be popular in South America (Hi, Cesar!).

I've never heard of the series, but when I first saw the subject line, I got an instant mental picture of the giant winged creature wearing a tie and defending people in a courtroom.

I've seen some of the books at my local used book store. I always thought of Greedo from Star Wars, on accout that he's a Rhodian.
