I have two of his novels -- Darkfall and Ferocity. Is he good? |

I read one and it was okay. I forget the name; Leisure put it out a while back. WYRM maybe? |

What's the last Leisure title to rock your world -- if any? |

I've been reading mysteries. How's that for a pod of horror? |

How's this for horror: Why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near? |

I love Stephen Laws. I just got a copy of his new one and plan on digging in to it this weekend. |

I haven't read any Laws, but my own leisure fave are his fellow brits: Sarah Pinborough's Breeding Ground or Tim Lebbon's Bezerk. My least favorite leisure title has got to be James A. More's Rabid Growth. Bryan Smith's Deathbringer is pretty awful, too. ALthough, I have to admit to only having read ten or so leisure books. |

A couple of years ago I read an old one of his (published in 1986) called Spectre. It was about a group of freinds from high school, that years later a photo taken of them starts changing. As members of the group start turning up dead they disappear from the photo. I remember it as not being bad but it wasn't a favorite either. That is the only one of his that I have read. I wonder if anyone out there has ever heard of an obscure author named Michael Talbot? He wrote a couple of books that I have, The Bog and Night Things (which is my number one favorite horror book ever) but I can't find out much else about him. I think I found something that listed him as having died sometime in the 90's but not how. Does his name ring a bell to anyone else out there? |
