Great story thus far, Mark! I've loved comic books and superheroes for many years now. I like the divergant history you have going on here, with the use of alien weaponry during the Vietname War. I don't know if it's because I just recently read The Watchman graphic novel or not, but I kind of got that sort of feeling from this beggining of your story. Thanks for sharing it.

Wow! This is a really good story, Mark.  I can't wait to see what he finds at the lake. I like the mix of horror and superhero elements. Your characters are really well developed too. This is something I have always struggled with, characterization. I really enjoy coming up with plots full of mystery and stuff like that but coming up with interesting characters can be difficult. Anyway, great story and thanks for the read. By the way, I'll be reading another story of yours soon. I ordered the Halloween issue of Dark Discoveries that features a story by you as well as an interview with Ramsey Campbell. I haven't recieved the issue yet but it should be on its way. Do you remember what the title of your story in that issue was?

Still a riveting story, Mark. Are you going to do more with these characters after this story through? I think that you should. You have a good series going here.

Great story! I enjoyed it very much! I liked the characters (very easy to identify with), the alternate Earth setting (interesting history), the creatures (really loved the giant Queen with all the mouths in her stomache area), the action (very riveting) and all the side characters (I'd be interested in stories about many of the other heroes that were mentioned in passing, ie. Danger Lass, etc.). Thanks for putting it out for us to enjoy!
