They closed work here today. They expect record snow fall. As long as I don't have to drive in it, I don't mind the snow. In this case it got me a day off of work with pay! ![]() |

Nothing here yet but they've revised the forcast from a mix of sleet, rain and snow to 1 to 6". It's expected to blow in tonight. |

I left work a little early today and I'm staying home tomorrow. We're in the middle of a 20-hour (or so) hammering of snow/rain/sleet/freezing rain that's in the process of making a jolly mess of everything. Things were pretty icy when I left work in Fairfax, but pretty rainy out in the west part of Virginia where I live, thankfully. It's supposed to turn to a mix of snow and freezing rain and go all night into tomorrow afternoon. Of course, the weather forecasters 'round these parts suck wet goat. They can't forecast the weather past 10 minutes, so I really don't know what to expect. |

Freezing rain, slush, just all around nasty. Brookdale Community college is closed, so the weather has cost me 8 hours of pay off a paycheck. ![]() |

6 inches last week. Ice storm (expected) Monday. Ice storm (totally f***ing unexpected) this morning. Fortunately, I'm usually alone on the roads at the ungodly hour I drive to work. |

Hey Matt, I appreciate the thought. that's just post secondary education for you. If I was full time and tenured, the weather wouldn't effect me. If I was teaching class, like tommorrow, the weather wouldn't cost me either. Just whenever I'm working in a writing lab (MWF, for me, I'm on the clock.) So, I was praying that bad weather hits on tues or thurs! Like, I won't complain if I get a snow day tommorrow. |

I'm in NNJ and we got about 2" of snow/ice. It made driving very difficult and clean up was a bear. |

We still have several inches on the ground from last week and a couple of more coming tomorrow. I think everyone is used to it now. |

Wow...believe it or not, and there is absolutely NO SARCASM here...I, as a midwest transplant to So Cal, actually do miss snow. But, I must admit, I don't miss driving in it! Be safe, everyone... SB |

Driving back from Work today on the parkway, I saw a number of trees toppled over, probably from the extra weight of the ice. |
