What is happenin', bruthas and sistas? Diamond Dave and I just put the finishing touches to Pod of Horror #29. More on that tomorrow. I just finished up a longish writing project and I think I'm taking the weekend off, other than a little piddling. I've been reading some pulp novels, since the project I was working on was in the genre. Pulp is like crack for me. I read one and I can't stop. THis week I've read a Spider reprint and two Doc Savages. By the way, Nostalgia Ventures' new reprints of Doc Savage and The Shadow are pretty cool, if you're into that sort of thing. They reprint two novels per book, with the original pulp covers and interior art. The books are filled out with new articles from notable pulp scholars. You can check them out here: http://members.cox.net/comingattraction ... tures.html So what's everybody else doing? |

Going to a comedy club with my wife to celebrate valentines day. She was less than enthused about my original idea to go see the Ghost Rider movie for it. We've never gone to a comedy club before but it was something that she wanted to do. I heard the guy on Bob and Tom yestereday and he was pretty funny. ![]() |

Saw "Music and Lyrics" with my wife. The opening "music video" of Hugh Grant in a WHAM! 1980's knock off is just priceless. Bought some non-genre books The Best American Non-Required Reading 2003, Flash Fiction Foward, McSweeney's Book of Lists. Now it's time to write. I decided to put the zombie novel aside for a little to get just a little distance from it. My other project is a Western novella about a grave digger (hey, somebody has to bury the losers at "quick draw.") |
