Q: When will this be out? You've been talking about it since 1998! A: Maybe not that long, but it seems like it. Hopefully, this summer will see the release of the book in its three versions. Q: I've heard there will be a sequel. Is this true? A: One has been written and more are planned. We'll see. |

Q I've often wondered how people go about co-writing a novel. Did you guys switch off writing chapters or colaberate on each scene or did one of you write the first half and the other the second half? Curious minds want to know. A: Mark sez:We roughed out a plot, then switched off writing five page installments. Q: You two must have somewhat similar writing 'voices' then I guess. I have no real knowlege of that sort of thing, of course, but I am part of a small writing group, and each of us writes in distinctively different styles. How did you guys handle that, or does it really even make a difference? A: Mark sez: I can't speak for Dave, but I tried to write in a neutral voice. Of course, we used the revision phase to smooth things out. |

I contacted Mark about writing these because I thought our styles would mesh well. And I guess I was right. |

Q:How did the two of you meet, and how familiar were you with each other's writing before you decided to work together? A: In cooperation with law enforcement authorities, Mark was pretending to be an underage girl in chat rooms when Dave contacted him to solicit sex. They got to know each other in the ensuing court case. No. Wait. That was some other guy. Actually, we knew each other vaguely from horror message boards. Dave was looking for a co-writer and got in touch with me with an idea for a book about zombies and mutants. |

Ever think about posting some teaser copy, for DETGD and DH in the Horrorworld library? |

David-I noticed that when you post at Shocklines you advertise three editions of Dead Earth:The Green Dawn. The first buying choice is a Semi-hardcover. When I click on the link this edition is described as a PPC semi-hardcover. Could you please tell me what this is? I probably wouldn't order this edition only because I see the Hardcover and the Deluxe Lettered give you the choice of getting a free remarque which is a good thing as long as you don't mind waiting a little longer to receive the book. |
