Superstition

Anyone freaked out about today being Friday 13th? Do you consider yourself superstitious?

I don't really care much about dates and ladders. I do the salt thing sometimes but I'm not sure I truly believe my life will take a turn for the worse if I spill the salt. Still, if I can do the toss over the shoulder thing I go ahead.

Everyone, has some bit of superstition to them I think, but I don't consider myself overly superstitious. Actually, I go the opposite way on a lot of that stuff. My favorite number is 13, simply because of all the dread that is associated with it by others. I love friday the 13th for the same reason (although I hate the Friday the 13th movies, because I really find slasher flicks extreamly boring). I know I have some superstitions but none of them are jumping to my mind at the momment. I'll have to think on it and post some later.

I love Friday the 13th. And I consider 13 to be a lucky number. (Strangely enough, the inverse - 31 - seems to be MY lucky number.) I own a black cat, and I let him cross my path any old time he wants to.

I do believe, however, in karma/jinxes. For instance, I suffer from migraines. Bad ones. VERY bad ones. I have never, not once, ever lied about having one when I didn't...because I was afraid Karma would come back and slap me with a whopper when I could least afford one.

No superstitions really, except for gloating or bragging. I feel like if you're screaming to the rooftops about how good you are or how great things are going, you're inviting the good ol' wheel of karma to roll right over your skull.

I had the sleep study done, and was like 152 apnea events in four hours. My brain woke up that many times...

I'm supposed to get the C-pap machine first, as an alternative to surgery. The insurance company claims it's preferable to surgery (because they don't want to pay for surgery, half the time.)

Is it true that after surgery, and after recovering from surgery, life seems wholly different? Like other people tell me that the before and the after are so radically different they can't explain, other than it's like a new "awakening" I don't know. I just want to get through the day without wanting to take4-5 naps.

My surgery wasn't specifically for the sleep apnea but it was cured as a result of of chances from a surgery that was designed to address several medical problems I was having. My sleep apnea was a result of being too heavy (different people have different causes for sleep apnea). I had the gasteral bypass surgery and lost 130 lbs. and that was the reason for the sleep apena going away for me. Knid of embarrasing but that's what it was.

The Sword isn't too bad (checked them out on iTunes). Could you imagine Ozzy in a court trying to babble an explanation to the judge & jury why he's suing a band for "deriving" their sound from Sabbath? hahahaha! That I'd love to see. :lol

a friend of mine knows their guitarist. Says they're the biggest bunch of pot smokers he's ever met.

Watching Ozzy try to explain anything is pretty hilarious. Though, I was growing tired of the reality show, after a while.

hehe no, but it would certainly be descriptive of where I live. I bet if they included cows in their govt. concensus things we'd have more cows than people.

I'm surprised we even have phones out here. Ok...not that surprised. Try getting reception on the cell phone though - not stable. Sometimes I feel like one of the actresses in a horror movie - searching for a signal - in my own house!

We can't get DSL or even cable TV (not that I watch it but still...cable internet would be nice!) or cable internet. Though I did come up with an idea for inventing Cow Cable! But PETA and everyone else would have me quarted for it
