Say you want to write a novella. Not a whole lot of markets are open at the moment for somebody without books on their resume. Anyhow, I was thinking of doing a crime novella -- an update and expansion on a short story I wrote like 13 years ago. Anyhow. The publisher Contemporary Fiction. Pays no advance. 10% net royalties on sales, and 10 free copies of the book in question. But, they're open to books of 45,000 words anythoughts?
