funny. That's like issue fifty something....Long run for what looks like a cheesy comic. At least it's not "Bat Baby and Robin"

The Lois Lane title lasted 137 issues, from March 1958 - October 1974. It was a solid seller for DC, especially among young female readers (a demographic that has basically disappeared from comics).

arn't they comingback in droves for translations of Japanese manga? You know, the girly manga stuff, not the mecha monsters or stuff?

I think Archie has managed to survive the gradual disappearance of a lot of comics from drug stores, grocery stores, etc. I see them -- the digests, at least -- everywhere. I also imagine it's a generational thing. Archies are read by a kid, who moves on and has kids, at some point introducing the new offspring to the safe world of Riverdale.
