The Lois Lane title lasted 137 issues, from March 1958 - October 1974. It was a solid seller for DC, especially among young female readers (a demographic that has basically disappeared from comics). |

arn't they comingback in droves for translations of Japanese manga? You know, the girly manga stuff, not the mecha monsters or stuff? |

I think Archie has managed to survive the gradual disappearance of a lot of comics from drug stores, grocery stores, etc. I see them -- the digests, at least -- everywhere. I also imagine it's a generational thing. Archies are read by a kid, who moves on and has kids, at some point introducing the new offspring to the safe world of Riverdale. |
