That does suck, I was just starting to get into there store there as well, with the free shipping and all. I'm not on their messageboard but it's sad to hear. 
Mark, I guess that means the end of the E-mail gift certificate contest then. Will there be something to take its place?

Didn't Brian Keene kind of predict this, and then everybody over there jumped on him for it? I know that's probably simplfying it. I know, though, last time I ordered through shocklines, I was trying to pick up chapbooks, and I kept on getting prompted to select free items too. While I wasn't complaining, I knew something was going on there, if he had a whole bunch of titles he couldn't even "sell." But then again, that's poetry, and poetry NEVER sells well, not even in the mainstream press (Unless you name happens to be Maya Angelou, if you call what she writes poetry) |
