my, oh my. I really am running out about things to say about these sleaze covers. Did you know that Patricia Highsmith was a Lesbian? One of her long term lovers, if I'm not mistaken, made a career out of writing books like these. Strangely enough, I know about all of that from having listened to Terry Gross and Fresh Air on NPR. |

I am a HUGE Fresh Air fan. Terri Gross is one of the best interviewers in any medium. |

Oh, I agree. You can tell she's the best by how effortless and artless she makes interviewing seem. Though, honestly, I think Studs Terkel beats her, in the interviewing biz. But then again, Terkel is working in a print medium and has tons of time to refine his transcripts. Terry Gross does it live, and in person. If anything made me trully HATE Bill O'Reilly, by the way, it was his smug treatment of her, a few years back, because she dared to ask him a couple of tough questions instead of giving easy Regis Philben type praise. |
