What's everybody doing?

I actually have two days off and I'm so toasty from work, I may do nothing.

I just got a copy of Ghost Rider (which I saw in the theater) and can finally force my wife to watch Nick Cage do Elvis doing Ghost Rider.

Next week is going to be very busy at work, so it makes me want to spend this weekend hiding out.

It's pretty busy actually. We have a cul de sack party today (if it doesn't rain too much), I'm going to try and jump over to The Promo Day thing on the internet that Raven Bower is doing () for a bit. My wife and I had our first run at being in charge of a youth center that our church runs. It will only be every other Friday night and its just for middle school students. There is a local comic book convention on Sunday as well as a get together for our gaming group and weight lifting. I'd also like to squeeze in some writing and the 1408 movie but I don't think the movie is going to happen.

Well there was too much rain so the cul de sack party got cancelled. That's oakay though because I got a lot of writing done instead and also watched the Hearts in Atlantis movie with Anthony Hopkins in it. It wasn't bad, not really a horror movie but still interesting. I bought it years ago at a garage sale for two dollars but kept putting off watching it because I wasn't sure I'd like it.

It's a pretty good movie. Of course, they had to excise all references to King's Dark Tower series. Didn't they have Ted being chased by the FBI in the movie? It's been a while since I've seen it. Nice restrained performance from Hopkins.

I watched two episodes today. One was about this coupke renting an old ship captains house and the guy gets possessed by the dead captain and the other was about a man whose astral self confessess to commiting a murder while asleep to a police officer even though he can be verified as being elsewhere during the confession. They kept my interest. Not a bad show.

They're not as well written as Twilight Zone, yet there's something so compelling about how serious everyone takes the show that it's hard to look away.
