How's Everybody Doing?

Nanci pointed out that I haven't posted much lately.

I'm starting the second week of vacation. Last week was filled with several family obligations and a trip to Pulpcon in Dayton. So I wasn't online much. This week will be devoted to writing.

So what are YOU doing?

Doing okay over here. I'm applying for an English teaching position and I've been taking a training course for the last two weeks. Today is the final class and we'll know if we stay and how many hours we'll get and all that, so I'm a bit nervous. Should be writing too but haven't for the last 2 weeks. I hope to pick it up again this week. Been a little bummed lately so I'm just trying to look ahead and keep going.

I'm finishing off my last day of vacation. We had a great time canoeing and hiking at the cabin that was in a really neat outdoor center with awesome big rock formations and creepy old covered bridges. I got some good story ideas brewing from it. I taught my step son how to mow grass today. I've been working on my writing more and am trying to ease myself into some sort of routine with it. I got myself a day planner to record what I worked on in that regards and am starting out trying to make myself write a minimum of three hours a week. I know that doesn't sound like much but I go a lot of weeks not writing at all. Once I've suceeded in that I will try to bump it up a bit.

I finally didn't have a migraine today! Whoopee! So I made dinner and wrote three reviews (Offspring, Two Twisted Nuts, and Eraserhead).

Work was interesting the last couple of days. They are going to be hiring an editor for the customer training department and they asked me to develop the writing test that they're going to administer to the candidates. That was different.

I give my first class this Monday at 7am

Only problem is that it's on the other side of the world and I have no idea how to get there. This thing is so far away I might need a second change of clothes, lol. But looking forward to it
