What's crack-a-lackin'?

I have a short story due on Monday, so most of the weekend will be spent on that.

I do have to go to work for a few hours day, with a stop by the comic book shop. Then it's home where we're grilling out tonight. After that, back to the computer.

I would love to see The Simpsons movie, but that probably won't happen for a while.

So what are YOU doing?

I'm not sure. I'm on-call for the water company until Monday morning (since last Monday) so I can't go too far from my area in case someones pipes burst or some other water catastrophy strikes. I had to go out four times on various things last night, the last of which came in at 1 a.m. We have a couple of minor parties to stop in at, birthdays and whatnot. And I have the usual, church on Sunday and weight lifting. I have more editing to do on my story for the evil books anthology submission. It's starting to seem like an endless project. I've been working on it for quite a long time now. :|

Lets see.... Science Fiction Poetry Association has a sonnet contest coming up, so I'll be writing for that.

Like every weekend, I'll try, again to come up with an end to my zombie novel with no end.

Then, I'll probably continue on a new sci-fi project -- a book tentatively titled "Pastor Jim."

The bedroom is finally wallpapered. We've been working on that room since July 4 but ran into problems. Anyway, the furniture will be delivered next Saturday and we can finally put the house back together!!

It's independence day weekend here in Peru so we went to a Peruvian food restaurant for traditional dishes. Other than that, I plan to watch WWE Vengeance while I eat lots of bad stuff for me :D

I watched The Simpsons Movie last Thursday and got lots of laughs, though I wished it was longer and also that many of the characters had more screen time. Now I'm counting the days to Die Hard 4 (Aug 15 here).

I'm also excited about a new writing project so want to set sometime for that every night.

The other thing I'm doing this weekend, BTW, is taking a break from old pulp science fiction and occult. Reading Stephen King's Roadwork (It's a bachman book). It's nice tor read something, for a change that doesn't smell and/or have brittle pages.
