Cool story, Mark. It's got a Lovecraft feel to it. I always enjoy hearing what happened to generate story ideas, so it was cool to read the prompt this one came from.

Hey Mark, I just wanted to add that the part of the story that really grabbed me at the beginning was when the guy receives the message from the friend that he had long lost touch with and the message simply read, 'Please Come'. It sort of reminded me of one of my absolute favorite short stories by Ramsey Campbell, The Inhabitant of the Lake.
