Thanks, Rich. I had become pretty bored with Groovy Age of Horror (particularly during the recent Nazi phase) but now that he's expanded his focus, I'll be a more frequent visitor.

I saw some SHADOW and DOC SAVAGE books at Borders the other day.

That was weird.

The new reprints are selling very well, I understand. I have 'em all, so far, to the delight of my inner fanboy.

How do they read these days? Disappointing, or do you slurp it up regardless?

The Docs hold up pretty well. Lester Dent was a helluva writer, even when doing formula stuff.

Many of the Shadows I'm reading for the first time, and they're a mixed bag. Walter Gibson is rather hit or miss with me. Sometimes the slow pace of his novels tries my patience. By the way, what I just said is heresy in the pulp community.
