Delirium has announced Devil -Tree for a November 09 release and you didn't tell us? Thank God Horrordude is on the prowl and noticed this! Finally we can all relax, because we know...things are going to be all right with the world in November 09. Geez...my sinuses are starting to clear up already, and hey, my broken leg is starting to feel better! I can... I can...I can see without my glasses on! And good God, I can play the piano! Now I can drive a stick shift!!! Thank you Steve! Oh thank you....... |

I'm afraid that Delirium recently announced a policy change. They will primarily be publishing in e-format. I was offered the possibility of seeing Devil-Tree come out as an e-book, but I wasn't keen on the notion. Which means that later this week I will begin shopping the manuscript around. |

I think that I am going to the bathroom to cry because Steve's book is no longer coming out through Delirium. When I am ready to come out, I am going right back in to cry over the conversion of the Delirium releases to PDF format. I understand the reasoning, but I just can't see me reading a PDF document on the computer. To hard on the eyes, and a severe hamper on portability. The Kindle hasn't been released in Canada yet, because of copyright disputes. Alternatively, I could print the darn thing, but then it is just loose papers all over the place. DAMMIT! |

No fear. I will find a home for this book. I'm going over the manuscript one more time and then begin the marketing again. This is nothing more than a speed bump. I've got lots of books out there, more coming up the road, this shit takes time don't you know???

Wow, this sucks, both for you Steve, us as readers, and Delirium in general. I simply won't read a book on a computer screen, and I sure can't afford to buy packages of printing paper every week to print all the books out. Glad I have a large TBR pile, and anxiously await a new publisher for your novel, Steve! |

Some people will embrace the new medium, some will not. For myself, it just didn't suit my own current writer's plan. I have seen the Kindle in action and I think it's a pretty cool gadget. I might even want to own one if it comes down in price. My aching bookshelves could certainly use the break. I don't even mind the notion of e-books, but in an ancillary position (shit, am I using that word right?). By which I mean, so long as my books are printed firstly as a "real" book, trade paperback or hardcover, and then as an e-book offering to those folks who prefer that. Will the e-book one day rule the universe? I dunno. But I tell you what. Even Captain Kirk and Jean Luc Picard read books!
