Thanks to all of you who helped give me advice and encouragement on submitting my short story, Across the Hall, for possible publication. It was much appreciated. I spent several hours in the last few days just trying to get my formatting correct. It seems like standard submission requirements are unnessessarily complex (headers on all the pages, except for the first page, 1" inch margins all around, etc.). I finally got it a set up, cover letter and everything, and sent it out to Dark Discoveries magazine as well as to the webzine, Chizine (thanks for the heads up on that one Dave!). It will be several months before I hear anything, but thanks to all of you for your help!

Chizine e-mailed me and said that they can't use my story at this time. It's still at Dark Discoveries though, so we'll see what happens there.

I've submitted my story to Weird Tales magazine today, as it wasn't picked up by the other two places (I never got a response from Dark Discoveries on my original submission or a follow up E-mail, so I'm assuming they weren't interested ).
