Easter Weekend

Anybody have big Easter plans this weekend?
I'll be going to church, probably tonight, though. On Sunday, I'll go over to my parents house for a family get together. And Today, I just finished the first draft of my most recent short story (the one I've been working on for the past four weeks). I usually don't take that long to finish a short story but I think this one is special, and I wanted to really think it through. It is by far the strangest one I've ever written, so I have high hopes for it. It'll take me a good week or so to get it edited like I want it, and then I plan to submit it to Dead Letter Press for their anthology on EVIL BOOKS!

This is the first time I've written something with specific plans to submit it to someone asking for submissions on a particular subject. I guess we'll see how it goes.

My wife is on the local park board, so she dragged me to our city's Easter egg hunt today. Tomorrow she's making dinner for us, my mother, brother and his finance.

I hope to squeeze in some writing, but after spending a few hours in the cold at the park, I need an electric blanket and a book!

I'm trying to make it through the weekend and into the dentist's room first thing Monday morning, my wisdom teeth decided to pull a number on me and I've been fighting the pain these last few days (pain seems to be dormant today, shhh).

I'm working on a short for HW contest, I'm very excited because I think I found a different angle to their theme, which is what I wanted. I also want to put something together for the evil books antho.

No WWE on TV this Saturday

so might spend it reading Phantoms. Tomorrow we have lasagna lunch. Other than that nothing special.

Yep, they don't seem to give guidelines as far as font type and that sort of thing so I'm just trying to go with the standard (at least I think that it's standard) Times New Roman, 12 point font, double spaced. The following link should take you to what I was able to find for them:

They raised their pay rate to 1 cent a word for this project.
