Wicked Woods - now available on Nook

Well, this one is a ways off yet. The book isn't due to be released until about April or so, but I'm looking over the galley draft today and it's freaking awesome. Twenty-five stories, 146 pages, and some creepy spooky interior illustrations.

I haven't seen the cover yet - that's still in the works - but I am really looking forward to seeing this hit print.

Here's a shot of the cover. There is talk of a tour, but this is still early days. Suffice it to say I'm very stoked.

I finally found this on Amazon.com and it says it's a pre-order that's due to come out in October. I thought it was supposed to have been released last month. Or was I wrong yet again?

Amazon is weird. The book is out already, in stores. You might try Barnes & Noble, which apparently has it.

October? Man, that doesn't make any kind of sense.

Amazon was several weeks behind the first book, but not several months.

Don't know what else to tell you. Sorry, but that's the hassle of dealing with a regional press.

You might even have better luck just ordering this at your local bookstore. I betcha they could get it in for you a lot quicker than Amazon could.

Keep me posted, Thad. If worse comes to worse you can always send me enough to cover the cost of the book and postage and I'll mail you a copy...but hopefully you can track it down easier than that.

I appreciate the offer, Steve, but to be truthful, I'm having fun being a bit of a dick to these idiots.

To wit, Amazon.com sent me a response to my second email. Somewhere in the middle is a sentence telling me they don't transfer goods between websites. The rest of the email is them extolling the virtues of my being able to use my .com stuff to go on .ca. It seems that they think that is my problem, not the fact they don't have something.

In fact, I think I scared them. They sent the email twice. :lol

Like I said, I do have a line or two on a copy. I was just hoping to brighten my little corner of the world.
