Robert Dunbar is the author of the supernatural thrillers THE PINES and THE SHORE, both of which achieved extraordinary levels of critical acclaim. But horror has only recently become the principal focus of Dunbar’s career. As a film, theater, dance and literary critic, he has penned articles for publications as diverse as Art & Understanding, Cineaste, Dance Magazine, On Stage and Writers Digest. Both his mainstream fiction and his poetry have appeared in scores of literary journals, including the internationally acclaimed Descant. In addition, several of his plays have been produced in regional theatres, and one of them – the comedy BATS – was published in book form. P.S. Gifford was born on April 28th 1965 in Birmingham, England. He, from a remarkably early age, discovered he was completely fascinated with the written word. By the age of nine he was devouring several books a week, and had more importantly begun to write. In the early 1980's he and his father relocated to the California coast, which he has cheerfully called home ever since. While in college, Paul wrote a few stories, but as he got older alas writing was relegated onto his hectic life's "back burner" and he barely wrote a word of fiction for over fifteen years. However, in 2004 all this was about to abruptly and delightfully change, as that was the year when he realized that despite a serene contented existence an important aspect in his life was missing: the written word. So, once more he began churning out in abundance short stories. And the rest, as they say, is history.<P>
Since then he has written well over one hundred short stories and had numerous published. His first short story collection is about to be published "The Curious Accounts of the Imaginary Friend", and the sequel is due out next year.<P>

Necro's imprint Bedlam Press exists to be able to publish other types of fiction than the hardcore horror for which Necro is known. Bedlam has brought out work from Jeffrey Thomas, Doc Solammen and the popular Dead Cat series of books, chapbooks and merchandise.
