Joseph Armstead
Dark fantasy/horror-suspense author Joseph Armstead's work is often described as "very cinematic and suspenseful" and "non-cliched". A published poet, Joseph's poetry is often a musically rythmic and hardcore journalistic mix, scarily sardonic, wherein interpretations of the world around him are snared in Time in a "snapshot" he shares with readers. Joseph's books are available through Barnesandnoble.com, Amazon.com and Borders.com Moderators: HorrorWorld, Nanci |

Robert Dunbar
Robert Dunbar is the author of the supernatural thrillers THE PINES and THE SHORE, both of which achieved extraordinary levels of critical acclaim. Reviewers called THE PINES a "masterpiece" and "a classic of modern horror," and THE SHORE has been praised as "one of the best books to come out of the horror genre in years." But horror has only recently become the principal focus of Dunbar’s career. As a film, theater, dance and literary critic, he has penned articles for publications as diverse as Art & Understanding, Cineaste, Dance Magazine, On Stage and Writers Digest. Both his mainstream fiction and his poetry have appeared in scores of literary journals, including the internationally acclaimed Descant. In addition, several of his plays have been produced in regional theatres, and one of them – the comedy BATS – was published in book form. Dunbar has also written and produced for public television (and has scripted programs for The Discovery Channel, The Travel Channel, HGTV and the Fine Living Network). Since publication of THE PINES, Dunbar has often lectured about folklore at colleges and historical societies and has been a guest on a wide variety of television shows, including ABC’s Scariest Places on Earth and The History Channel’s Weird US. He has also contributed fiction to publications like Cemetery Dance, Dark Wisdom, City Slab, Apex Digest of Science Fiction and Horror and The Edge: Tales of Suspense. In the coming months, THE PINES and THE SHORE will both be issued in paperback by Leisure Books. MARTYRS & MONSTERS – a collection of Dunbar's short fiction – will soon be released by Delirium Books. Scott F. Falkner
Though best known as a horror writer, self-described "speculative fiction" author Scott F. Falkner loves to mix up the genres. His debut offering, THE FEAST OF CATCHVILLE, a horror novella, broke the single month sales record for Stone Garden Publishing in 2006. In the same year, his first novel, SWAYBUCK, was the publisher's first ever hardcover release. With the Dark Fantasy DELVING trilogy hitting stores soon, a free, online, ongoing Space Opera serial now available, a Dark Fantasy Western in the works, and a slew of other paintings and stories in the wings, something "speculative" is always on the horizon. P.S. Gifford
P.S. Gifford was born on April 28th 1965 in Birmingham, England. He, from a remarkably early age, discovered he was completely fascinated with the written word. By the age of nine he was devouring several books a week, and had more importantly begun to write. In the early 1980's he and his father relocated to the California coast, which he has cheerfully called home ever since. While in college, Paul wrote a few stories, but as he got older alas writing was relegated onto his hectic life's "back burner" and he barely wrote a word of fiction for over fifteen years. However, in 2004 all this was about to abruptly and delightfully change, as that was the year when he realized that despite a serene contented existence an important aspect in his life was missing: the written word. So, once more he began churning out in abundance short stories. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Stephen Mark Rainey
Stephen Mark Rainey is the brains behind many dark and terrible things, but you probably don't want to hear about them. Instead, try his novels, which include Dark Shadows: Dreams of the Dark (with Elizabeth Massie), Balak, and The Lebo Coven; or his anthologies Song of Cthulhu, Deathrealms, and Evermore (with James Robert Smith); or some of his 90-plus short stories, which can be found in trash cans everywhere. For ten years, he edited Deathrealm magazine, for which he is still doing penance. Also visit Mark on the Web at http://home.triad.rr.com/smrainey. Moderators: HorrorWorld, Nanci |

T. M. Wright
T.M. Wright says, “Without the dead, where would we writers be?” To large extent, that’s been the guiding theme of his literary output for the past nearly thirty years—beginning with his first novel, “Strange Seed (Everest House, 1978)”—on half a dozen “Best of the Genre” lists—and culminating 29 novels later, with “A Spider on my Tongue,” third in the “A Manhattan Ghost Story (TOR, 1984)”
universe, and “I am the Bird,” a novella being published by PS Publishing in the summer of 2006.

Croatoan Publishing
Croatoan is a word that has become synonymous with mystery and the horror of the unexplained. The variety of dark fiction that Croatoan Publishing will offer will reflect the same feeling of horror and dread that White and his crew must have felt when they returned to Roanoke Island and found that all 117 colonists---men, women, and children---had vanished into thin air. Croatoan Publishing is devoted to the well-established small press author, as well as those writing for the commercial mass market. Moderators: HorrorWorld, Nanci |

Necessary Evil Press
Established in 2003, Necessary Evil Press has rapidly become a serious contender in the world of specialty press publishing. While the press was still in its infancy, two NEP titles were nominated for the prestigious Bram Stoker Award, and one of them, The Turtle Boy, ultimately went on to receive this great honor. Every year since, our books have appeared in various Year's Best lists and appeared on many award ballots, culminating recently in a 2005 HWA Specialty Press award which cited the press' overall attention to excellence. Among the authors we have worked with are Tim Lebbon (The Assassin series, Berserk), Kealan Patrick Burke (The Turtle Boy), Gary Braunbeck (In the Midnight Museum), Brian Keene (Take the Long Way Home), Simon Clark (She Loves Monsters), and Michael McBride (Zero), almost all of which have sold out pre-publication.
